I am visiting and unfamiliar with this area. We stopped in here for breakfast or lunch, depending on what we decided to order. They said it had been around forever, like around a hundred years. We thought it would be like a Denny's or IHOP, but local. It was a similar set up inside but different. Very local. Kind of old school cafe-ish. It was very clean and comfortable with great air conditioning. The menu was similar but also different. Our food was really good, hot, and made to order. Perfect bacon, omelet, and grits.my 12 year old said the pancakes were awesome and tasted a little like vanilla flavored. The star of the show was the waffle. It really was the best I ever had. It was tall and super light. The outside was crispy, and the inside was like perfect funnel cake. I had to share it with everyone, unfortunately. The staff here reminded me of the old-time diners like BET'S that used to be all around the little towns in Florida. They were NICE, patient, and attentive. I would definitely recommend eating here.

When you just have to have breakfast for dinner, I go to the Village Inn. It's always perfect, and more than I can eat what day does delicious pancakes and two of the four strips of bacon for breakfast the next morning, and it was still delicious! The server was extremely attentive in super friendly. The hostess is lovely and she spoke with me for a while about her family. I was honored. She was as sweet as Village Inn pie!

It was a party of 6. We ordered oreo pancakes, birthday pancakes, French toast, regular pancakes, grits, etc. The food was really good. Might be time for an upgrade in building presentation, inside deocor. The staff were very pleasant. I gave a 3 star for atmosphere because on the side where the restroom is has a suer like smell. Kinda like bad water or something. Horrible smell. If we had been seated in that area, we probably wouldn't have stayed. But lots of people sat over there. But the food was great, the staff was great. Lighting was also horrible. Our total bill was like 56. It was very cheap for 6 people eating and getting full.

The server was amazing. We had the pleasure of having her before. My granddaughter and I frequent this location every Saturday. Last week, we were a little disappointed. The grill was dirty and my hashbrowns came out dark, oily and with a burnt taste. Our server was very accommodating and deleted the hash browns from our order. Today, our food was a picture of perfection and presentation. I’m just sorry I didn’t take a picture to share with you. It looked so delicious that we could not wait to dive in. Our overall experience was 10/10! See ya next Saturday. Or maybe Thursday if I can take time to for the bingo night.

On special days, we sign my mother in law out of the nursing home and bring her to Village Inn for breakfast. She loves their coffee and the Music Star omelet. Oftentimes, it's a family affair, and we'll have up to 6 people there, ranging from 19 years old to 80. The staff is always very kind and very patient with us. They are helpful to explain questions about the menu and bring all the extra napkins creamers, anything we need. The food is always good, and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered. It's helpful that the parking, entrance, space between tables, and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. It's one of the main reasons we continue to go here. Aside from the food and accessibility, it's also one of the most affordable places in Midtown Tampa for our family. We don't need Water Street prices to make my mother in law feel like it's a special day out. We appreciate the military discount and the variety of affordable meals on the menu. Thank you!
